Hanne Berkaak is an animation director, illustrator, and history enthusiast based in Norway. With an MA from the Royal College of Art, she now creates work that explore dark themes with warmth, curiosity and a touch of the burlesque. She has worked on projects ranging from real-world humanitarian issues to myth and the supernatural. Sometimes in surprising combinations.
She is in development on PESTA, a romantic folk horror set in Norway during the Black Death in 1349.
And SANDER’S MIDSOMMER is a dark, floral fantasy centered on a boy who conceals his wounds beneath strict routines and a flawless surface.
